The King of Ladies is the sister venue to The Breakfast Club's Clapham site, situated on Battersea Rise in South London.
You’ll surreptitiously enter The King through a secret sliding wall in the Breakfast Club’s launderette, and immediately be welcomed into the heart of a cocktail bar and lounge pad that pays tribute to a 1970's bachelor pad and draws owes its name to a famous line in the iconic US sitcom 'Cheers'. The bar serves premium beer and craft beer as well as 70's themed cocktails.
It would not be a true 1970's bachelor pad without retro bar snacks, and The King of Ladies Man serve an amazing roster of American styled grilled cheese. Expect kitsch pink flamingos and bamboo with grilled cheese sandwiches, mac n’ cheese (served Pot Noodle-style) and sides like grilled corn on the cobb, palm potato fries and deep fried haddock fritters.
But in here the food’s just a sideshow, as it’s the Hawaiian-shirted bartenders who are serving up the main attraction: “Disco Drinks” like Pina Coladas, Tequila Sunrises, Mezcal Sunsets, Mai Tais and one cocktail guaranteed to give you a kick…. the ‘Mr. Miyagi’.
