The Four Thieves

When looking for somewhere to take a date I always say the best thing to do is to take the pressure off the conversation. We cant all sit there and be incredible charming and witty with someone we barely know so having a place with plenty to do is always a good idea. It makes it more about being able to enjoy each others company rather than having the gift of the gab.

The Four Thieves in Clapham Junction certainly has plenty to do! For starters it’s a bar, which is also a pretty sound choice when picking somewhere to take a date. So what to expect from behind the bar? Well you have your classic range of beer, wine, spirits and more, that you would expect from any pub. Although The Four Thieves also have their own on-site brewery where they make some pretty tasty ales. They produce over 1440 pints a week. They make many IPA’s and they even do there own Czech style lager.

Now this where things get interesting, they have their own games room and what a games room it is! Its filled with old school arcade games, mini golf, pinball machines, shooting games and the crème della crème is their mini motor racing. This is where you drive remote controlled cars while sitting in the driver seat. Up to 10 players can play once you have all got your driving licence from the machine. They also have a Virtual Reality simulator which I haven’t had a chance to try it myself, but as the kids are saying, it looks sick! Like I said you want plenty to do on a date and this will keep you going till last orders easily. Just make sure to fill your pockets with change before you go.

The Four Thieves is really a one off pub, which hosts so much, too much to mention in one blog. They have Quiz Nights, Comedy nights included some hilarious Stand Up acts, Music Nights and of course Arcade Nights. There is never a dull moment in this multi level Pub (in more ways than one).

Of course with all these games you will be sure to work up an appetite and The Four Thieves serves some top class grub as well. As you would expect from a bar menu it has all the classics like Burgers and Hot Dogs but they make them The Four Thieves way which I must say is bang on! All their menu has its own twist on the classics and will have you salivating all the way to the bar.

The Four Thieves is probably the most perfect place for a date if ever there was one. The only downside is that it can be pretty busy and no wonder, this popular pub has everything anyone would ever want from a pub.
